Vehicle Detail
This E450 Cutaway was in the process of being manufactured into an RV by MVP RV of Riverside, California. The company went bankrupt, and their assets were sold at auction. This E450 has had a number of modifications made to it as part of the process of manufacturing a Recreational Vehicle. All the modifications are easily reversed (except one), and can be done at low cost when compared to purchasing the same vehicle new ($29,000+). Here is a list of the modifications: -Rear frame has been extended. The extension measures 27" long, and is bolted to the frame. There are also a few light welds (easily cut). The extension has a trailer hitch receiver (see photos), which can be re-mounted on the frame should you decide to remove the 27" inch extension. -7 Pin Trailer Plug installed -Extensive wiring for the RV is coiled and comes off the alternator. Removing this would be a cinch for a mechanic who knows auto electric. I have left it on, as I am not sure what wiring goes where. Some of it would almost certainly be useful for an RV or box van. -In 10 points on the original manufacturer's frame, they welded on some thin steel tubing for the RV support structure. I cut this off with a sawzall. It could be left, or easily removed with a grinder, and touch up paint. -Roof has been cut out in a half circle (see photos). I have looked at turning this into a box van, and in the process took it to a precision welding shop to see what it would take to cover up the roof. I received an estimate for $560 to weld new channel across the top-rear and center of the cab, and rivet sheet metal onto the existing roof. If you are using this for an RV, this would not be necessary. Other than that, the E450 is brand new, and has only been driven to my warehouse, and then to my garage from the RV manufacturer. It is now sitting in my garage, waiting for you to come and get it. It is BRAND NEW, never used (except for driving it 73.1 miles). This is a golden opportunity to get a brand new vehicle, at a serious discount.
