Up for auction is one 1974 Datsun 620 Pickup. It is a really great driving truck. It has new tires (175-70R14/205/70R14), New front shocks, New Carrier Bearing, One year old master cylinder, clutch, starter, and carburetor. The one year old items were installed by the previous owner. I have known this truck for years and have tried to buy it for years. The reason I am selling it is because I have bought another Datsun project. The truck has the tightest front end of any 620 I have ever driven. Even with the mild lowering, it aligns to spec and drives great. The drivetrain is tight as well with no excessive noise at all. The engine puffs occasionally at start up or if gearing down for a long distance it will puff when you get back on the gas occasionally. It is not a perfect truck, it has body dings, dents and things that are hard to show in pics but if you know Datsuns, it isn't very hard to see this is a great start for an awesome project. I drove it 180 miles last Saturday with no problems and only burned half a tank of gas. Again, the pics look great but its a 20 footer quickie single stage paint job that was just so I could begin some body repair and know what color to spot it in for a match. I had intentions of painting the truck later. It gets looks everywhere it goes. It also has a new Herculiner Bed Liner. The bed hooks and tailgate latches have been shaved. The tailgate now has latches on the inside to hold the tailgate up. They are latches made for street rod tailgates. It has a Lokar Street Rod Shifter Knob. It has a new back glass rubber. It has rust in the floor pans and rockers that isn't completely eat up but needs repair to be perfect. Also the top of the left front fender has some rust showing. The right front edge of the hood has a dent that I couldn't get to show in pictures. The speedometer doesn't work but I am including a complete extra dash with all gauges and switches in the auction. Also, I will include a molded ABS top half dash pad cover. The interior has bucket seats that the previous owner said were from a late 70's Celica. The drivers side is split but the passenger side looks fine. They are black and still slide like they should. The steering wheel is factory and in good shape. Other than the speedometer and the left rear side marker light, everything on the truck works as it should. The defroster clears the windows, the heat is very hot, the turn signals, high beams, gauge lights, everything else works. It still has the owners manual in the glove box and one key operates the entire truck like it should ( I replaced the lock set with genuine Nissan locks and ignition switch from another 74). No cut up rat nest wiring on this truck either. It has been converted to an electronic distributor. Window regulators work fine, doors lock fine, doors click shut easily and the truck fires up at cold start instantly. The brakes stop straight. I drive this truck daily to haul parts for my street rod business and back and forth to my full time job.
