The car has a little over 97,000 miles. Overall the car is in really good condition. It has been well taken care of. This car belongs to my brother and his wife. They have owned the car for the last 5 years. I know everyone says "highway miles" so I feel reluctant to put it in the ad however this car truely has a majority of highway miles. He is in the U.S. Airforce and has been transferred from Texas to Oklahoma to Florida and is now in Japan for 4 years. Needless to say the car has made its way around the country. I have had the car for the last 6 weeks and have driven it 3-4 times per week. This is the first diesel engine car I have driven. I am blown away by the mgp that this cat gets. Being a larger sedan I was expecting around 18-20 mpg. My mpg for city driving is averaging 30-33 mpg which is better than my 08 Mini Cooper S is getting. The AC blows very cold and cools the car down quickly. All electronics work as they should. The car has an indash cd changer, nav screen, etc. The car is very spacious. The back seats are comfortable for an adult with plenty of leg room. The trunk is huge and comes with all of the accessories including jack, tire iron, etc. The reviews that I have read on the diesel engine mercedes have been really good. Apparantly these engines run well into the 200K range. I have a bunch of service records that they left me. The car had new tires put on last year. The windshield is free of any cracks. There are no visable dings or dents in the exterior. The paint is in great condition...still shiny. The interior is free of any stress marks, excessive wear in the normal spots, rips, tears, etc. The carpets and headliner are also free of any excessive wear and the like. My brother and his wife, along with myself and my wife are all non-smokers. The interior does not smell of smoke and does not have the dingyness that comes along with a vehicle that has been smoked in. There are no leins on the car. The few flaws on the car are as follows:-the front bumper has a small crack. It looks as though someone with a hitch may have backed into the front bumper. On a positive note if you live in a state that requires a front license plate the frame will cover the crack and it will be concealed. See pic.-the interior leather and carpets can use a good conditioning. just needs to be freshened up. see pics....its not bad...just needs a freshening up. A good detail guy should be able to clean it up nicely. -the driver seat where your butt would rest is showing slight wear. the rest of the seat is in great condition..even the left lumbar support which usually gets the most wear. -the esp malfunction light will come on every now and then while driving. I called my brother to ask what this was. He said he brought it to Mercedes and they said it was the wheel speed sensor. Since I have been driving the car (6 weeks now) it does not affect the way the car drives when it comes on. I googled it and it seems to be a relatively inexpensive fix and a common thing for cars in this mileage. I tend to be pretty knit picky with my cars thus the above scrutiny.
