Vehicle Detail

***Due to recent attempts to scam this auction, payment and pickup arrangements must be made within 7 days or deposit will not be refunded. No international buyers. Must have a valid US phone number, and must pick up in person to sign bill of sale and transfer title unless previous arrangements are made.*** ***Be advised that I still have a loan balance (USAA FSB) on this vehicle for about half the expected sale price so it will require the transaction to be completed to get the lien released. For that reason, expect a notorized bill of sale, bank provided copy of title, plus the car keys at the time of sale. The title will be sent about a week or so later to your address ready for your signature*** Up for sale is my beautifully running 1974 Porsche 911 base model with it's numbers matching original 2.7l engine. I have been the owner for the last 15 months or so but must downsize due to relocation. A number or items have been added to the original configuration to assist in a more reliable and better performing engine and are all in working order: Alluminum valve covers off a Carrera Turbo Carrera chain tensioner Higher capacity cooling fan Pop-off valve Stainless steel braided oil lines leading to the front bumper mounted air cooler with added air scoop to increase air flow Carrera door panels with pull handles Torsion bar CD player with twin 6x9 boxed speakers New fitted car cover Engine is rebuilt, runs like a scalded kitten, tuned last month with new spark plugs/rebuilt starter/new battery/oil change/air filter at that time. The valve studs are in great shape. Uncertain when engine was last rebuilt but it is in strong running shape and does not overheat even in the summer in GA. Tires are in like new condition and have about 5k miles on them. Painted Fuch wheels are in excellent condition. Brakes are in great condition. No troublesome underbody rust or rot though there is some slight surface rust in a few spots not to be concerned with. All the original gauges work accurately with the exception of the clock. Transmission shifts well and car handles extremely well. No rust through or rot on any pans. Two areas are of concern. 1) There is some bubbling up of rust on a few spots on the exterior of the car though the paint is in beautiful condition and is about 3-4 years old. This has all happened in the last 8 months and I have taken pictures where this is happening. The door skins themselves are slowly rusting out on the inside which is typical on these cars and should eventually be replaced though they work just fine now. 2) The vehicle was also backed into a few weeks ago by a truck and there is some slight damage due to this in the front left of the car. The headlight is working fine but the trim around it must be replaced and the left fender is bent inwards where the impact occurred. The left front turn signal was not damaged or hit but for some reason is not working since this happenend. Could be a bulb since the water seal for the headlight was damaged in the accident. This is the extent of the damage and should not be too difficult to straighten back out. As you can see from the pictures the right front turn signal was removed. This was done by the previous owner in Atlanta to increase air flow to the oil cooler. I have both turn lamps, both test as working, though I have never installed them. The drivers side locking mechanism has a broken pin and I have replacement assemblies for both the entire interior driver and passenger locking assemblies (around $500 parts) in a box I have yet to install. Originally had AC and heat. Now only has ducting for heat but neither is installed. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears anywhere. The windshield has some scratching where a wiper blade was not replaced soon enough but does not distract from driving. Overall, this is a beautifully running, beautifully looking car that can be a daily driver, but has some flaws that will prevent it from being in excellent condition until attended to. If you are interested in the vehicle please send me a message with a number to reach you at and I am more than interested in talking in detail about the vehicle. In my opinion the vehicle can be driven extended distance but I make no claim or warranty to this extent. If you are not satisfied with the vehicle upon pickup and a test drive both in the city and highway with me in the vehicle, I am more than happy to reverse the transaction. However, once you leave with the vehicle and a bill of sale is completed there will be no returns so buyer beware and please do your homework prior. Thanks for looking!
