Rare low miles! I am the second owner of this well kept Volvo sedan. The car spent the majority of its life in a garage. The original owner had this car as a second vehicle and drove it minimally! I bought the car to drive and for the nostalgia. My parents had several Volvo's from this time period when I was young. I drive a lot of highway miles for work and quickly learned of the 240's ferocious get up and go. That was a joke. If you are familiar with these cars you will know that they are incredibly safe, moderately heavy and not real peppy. The moral of the story is that I need a car that is geared more to interstate use. I will also say that the seats are very comfortable, the radio is old school and the overall feel of the interior is retro. When I bought the car the original owner said that the air conditioner did not work. I had it updated from the old R-12 system to the new R-134a. The ac has worked great all summer. Prior to my purchasing the car I had it looked over by United Auto Sales & Service in Waterbury, CT near where the original owner lived. They told me the only issue they could find with the car was that the ac didn't work (and as I said before the ac is working great now). For what it is, this car is impeccable. No rust! If you like the quirkiness of this boxy o'l tank you will enjoy this car for a very long time.
