DETAILS: You are bidding on a 1971 240z, the interior is 98% restored to original, and the exterior just needs another paint job to be completed. The car has a clean title in my name, tags for DMV are current until 2013, street drivable/race track ready, never salvaged, over 20 years of receipts dating back to the 90's. This car is absolutely solid, and was built to be driven hard. It has tremendous horsepower/torque and if you're looking for an already converted 240Z that you can take to car shows, the track or on the street, this is the car for you. BONUS: THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE CUSTOM MADE, MEANING YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE THE MOTOR BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DATSUN L24 V6. The drive-train has a great stiffness feel to it. The engine is an LT1 style big block with a 350 bottom-end, and was upgraded to racing heads, cam, lifters, pistons and other forged internals with approximately 550hp. The motor is FULL ROLLER, meaning you can attain more HP/Torque with a nitrous system or blower. Bolted to the motor are dual ford cobra exhaust pipes which provides a rich and mean sound. The motor is dressed up with new valve covers and gaskets, a brand new Edelbrock high tunnel ram intake manifold and gaskets and a Taylor Vertex Magneto ($1,300 with wires, kill switch and mag converter box). She has a custom made aluminum (Ron Davis) radiator with a turbo flow coolant valve so overheating is never a problem. Bolted to the motor is a T-56 GM 6 speed muncie racing transmission, it has a reverse lockout (NHRA certified) with a shatter proof bell housing and double over drive gears (1800 RPM to 2200 RPM at 65 - 70 mph) and idles at 800 to 920 rpm. The driveline is out of a super-duty Chevy truck, was shortened and balanced professionally at Sacramento Drivelines. To the drive-line is an R200 rear end (out of a 1990 300zx Turbo Posi) with 3.90 Gears LSD and custom cut and shortened rear axles shafts for an almost indestructible rear end setup. It's built to be abused and driven hard, when you take off, she has great handling and isn't too much power for the frame, the engine bay has been reinforced with 3x4 steel beams. The interior has the new car smell to it and is completely done (vinyl, dynamat, dynapad, dynaliner, side paneling, seats, center console, dash, trimming and weather strip, interior is restored to black). All inside and outside lights work along with signal lights. All she needs is a sectional carpet kit (Motorsport $189.95). The body exterior/interior has no rust and includes both rear and front original chrome bumpers; the car was stripped down to remove any rust spots and replaced with sheet metal, welded, grinded down to be smooth, media-blasted and the car was painted. The driver side front panel was damaged after the paint job, but was fully repaired and inspected by a professional body shop. ***** IMPORTANT: It was placed on a chassis liner to ensure the frame was straight, so her alignment is perfect, she drives straight without hands on the wheel. ***** She comes with an original hood that is primed. All she needs is a nice paint job and she's seriously a show car. I DO NOT want to part it out, sell it without the motor or trade it. PAYMENT AND TERMS: Car sold "as is" with no warranty express or implied. Payment in full is required prior to picking up or start of delivery. Cash or cashier's check from a major bank for payment in full is required no later than the time of pickup or start of delivery (including delivery expenses if you opt for that). Any check MUST CLEAR in my bank account PRIOR to when the transfer of actual vehicle begins whether it is by delivery or pick up. Thus, if you are coming to Sacramento, CA to pick up the vehicle and paying by cashier's check, make sure you arrive early on a business day or pay at least a business day before so that I have time to go to Bank of America, deposit the check and confirm that proceeds are in my account. If opting for delivery, I will not start to tow the vehicle until payment is confirmed in my bank account. DELIVERY: 1) Car can be picked up from in front of my house in Sacramento, CA by you or a shipping company after payment has cleared the bank depending on payment type (check once cleared) or cash. or: 2) I am willing to tow it to your City and State (limited to the lower 48 states) on a U-Haul trailer. If opting for delivery, buyer is responsible for payment of the following expenses prior to start of delivery: a) Uhaul Trailer Rental: 6' x 12' utility trailer with ramp (you can calculate rental costs on U-Haul web site). b) Gasoline: Gas to the destination AND back to Sacramento, CA - my truck takes 91 octane gas and I will calculate cost based on the number of miles calculated by Google maps, divided by 230 miles I get on every fill up, then multiplied by 22 gallons, then multiplied by $4.50). I will keep all receipts for proof of expense. c) Lodging: I can cover up to 300 to 500 miles a day depending on traffic, and if it takes more than a day, buyer will pay for lodging $80/night to AND back to Sacramento, CA. d) Delivery Fee: $100 for each day I am on the road to compensate me for driving. I am willing to deliver to most locations in the lower 48 states reachable by paved roads or well maintained dirt roads that is safe for towing (seller determines what is "safe"). If you live in a remote location, please contact me prior to bidding to confirm if delivery is possible if you opt for delivery. If buyer is requesting delivery, I reserve the right to control when to deliver the vehicle (it will be within a reasonable time depending on how far the destination is and likely within 45 days of close of auction at a destination in the lower 48 states).
