NO RESERVE auction for 1986 4WD GMC Jimmy (Full Size) Sierra Classic in original condition. Strong running 305ci with good shifting 700r4. No signs of accident or repaint and always a GA vehicle, so no rust except as shown in pics. Listed miles as 148978 but can make no guarantees. Because of the service records, am certain it is more than 48978 but, based on driving, performance and condition, it is my opinion the odometer has only turned once. PRO: Straight, original truck, strong engine and good shifting transmission, working 4WD, smooth working back window from both front switch and key switch on tailgate, tracks straight and drives very well, only apparent modifications are installation of true dual exhaust, with deep throaty sound, and an aftermarket Pioneer Super Tuner III with remote, rare sliding glass option on convertible top, If you include the unused spare tire, there are 2 brand new tires for the front with decent tread on rear tires. (If sells for $4k or above, I will install the new tires on front and mount best remainder on the spare rim). CON: Both bumpers have dents and if you are restoring it, should be replaced (see pics), one piece of missing trim on passenger rear quarter (see pics),Passenger side window is jerky up and down, Driver side window does not operate but you can hear the motor running so is a loose connection to window, some rust in left rear cargo hold and driver door rocker (see pics... rocker rust is surface and pitting but not through the metal), truck smokes alittle on start up and if you come off the throttle quickly (it had been sitting for a while when I bought it and believe it to valve stem seals), it will diesel some when shut down so I would rebuild carburator. I have tried to be as accurate as possible but remember this is a 26 year old vehicle so it is purchased as is. For the asking price, this truck can be a great affordable and dependable hunting or camping SUV for the fall and snow truck for the winter OR an excellent start on a restoration of a rare truck! NOTE: Just saw the Autocheck report on the title and mileage. The autocheck I had when purchased did not show either the duplicate title or 240K mileage. Can't dispute mileage claim so may be true; however, it is a CLEAN title but will double check title tomorrow to confirm. Thanks. As to mileage: For autocheck to be correct, the truck would have been driven 124,355 between 10/7/2005 and 9/23/2006 (less than 1 year). I believe this is implausible and in error.
