Let's make a deal - Call 847-892-4564 Here we have a 1965 Mercury that comes to us from San Leandro, California. This car is a 2 Owner vehicle, that has been fully restored. This car was purchased new in Ohio in 1965, where the first owner kept it for 32 years, his widow sold the vehicle to a collector in California who restored the vehicle in 1997, and kept as a weekend/parade driver for 15 years. We are lucky to offer this 1965 Mercury to the eBay community. It is a very nice car. This Mercury comes complete with a "HISTORICAL BINDER" - basically every single record on this Park Lane is included. We also have the original window sticker ! It underwent a full, frame off restoration in 1997. Car was dismantled (frame off),frame pressure bead blasted,primed and repainted, same with many parts, most refurbished or replaced,body resealed,primed and top coated with urethane base coat, clear coat before assembly with most weather stripping replaced, car restored to original like new condition, same color, Aquamarine. This Mercury is in excellent condition. Interior in excellent condition. All chrome is in excellent condition. This Park Lane is a very collectible, and rare vehicle - Only 3,008 Park Lane Convertbiles were made in 1965 ! Rare Car !I do not have the exact production #'s, but from what I have been told, "Aquamarine" is the rarest color produced in Convertible Park Lane's ! This Mercury has been in a climate-controlled garage, in California for the past 15 years ! 4 Matching tires are in excellent condition. There are NO mechanical problems with this Park Lane, everything works. Power Top, Wipers, Lights, Horn etc.. All work as they should. This car starts up everytime, with no smoke, no leaks, no odd sounds. It has a brand new battery. Purrs like a kitten, and sails smoothly down the highway at all speeds. Engine is the original 300 HP, 390 w/4 bore carb, engine rebuilt for the first time, rebuilt fly wheel and starter. Original transmission rebuilt, new radiator, expansion tank and fan, steering gear replaced, top, carpet and interior also replaced with new in 1997. Fuel tank replaced with the larger 25 gallon tank from the 1966 Park Lane. All new suspension parts, 4 new coils, all new bushing, shocks. New brakes, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, new mufflers. Has a Holley Alum Carb #1850SA, expansion tank, fuel tank sender. This is a car you will be proud to own. It has a Ford AM/FM Stereo mounted under the dash which works great with 2 speakers, the factory AM radio is disconnected. Door jambs, undercarriage all look excellent. No rust.
