1912 Ford Model T Touring. This car was in storage for a long time. Original owner over 90 and had car over 50 years. It is very correct and original. Some of the original features: Correct engine #113970 cast date: 11/5/11. It has correct chasis with bolt on body mounts, early 12 rivet rear, early aluminum trans cover, correct wheels, good tires but old. Has Hassler schocks front & back, mae west shackles, taper leaf spring in back, non taper in front. The headlights are E&J with fairly rare unmarked chimneys. They have some cracks and no burners. Side & tail lights are E&J also. They are complete and presentable not perfect. One sidelight has a cracked glass. The horn is a Nonparell and is in excellent condition. good bulb and works very well. Stewart speedometer is brass with the complete drive and works! The K&W coilbox & switch is correct and original, even has instructions under lid. Original steering wheel, correct brass Rands windshield. Upholstery, except for front seat cushion, is original and still pliable. Top is decent and could be used as is. The body is correct and original, no rust, has a dent in the rear panel otherwise nice and straight. Has original front sill plates. The fenders, splash aprons, and running boards are original, no rust. The fenders and aprons do have some dings and dents but could be used as is. Even has old worn out cocoa mat on the back floor. I believe this car was repainted in the 1960's (has a 1970 PA inspection sticker) and maybe the top was replaced. You will have to go a long way to find a more original early model T. This car could be used as is. Engine starts easy, runs good and strong even idles on mag. Car drives well. Doesn't overheat and no leaks. It is just like it came out of the barn. Has not been cleaned or touched in any way except to check it out mechanically and get it running. As I said you could drive it the way it is or just do a quick easy retoration.
