Vehicle Detail

For sale is a completely custom one of a kind rat rod project. This is a project that has been going on since 2007 off and on just as a hobby. My first car was a vw beetle and the entire time i owned it i thought about making an American version of the "peoples car". Unfortunately i now have to sell the Freedomwagon due to some unforeseen financial difficulties. I have close to $12k in this car as it sits right now and God only knows how many man hours...obviously i'm not trying to get even close to that much out of it, but it is very special to me and i hate to see it go...It is titled as a 1962 vw beetle...but, the frame is a modified 40's ford frame, the rear end is a 8 inch out of a 70's ford f100, engine is a completely rebuilt 6.6 liter with a weiand 144 blower, and the transmission is a Saginaw 4 speed. This car is a monster. It's loud, obnoxious, ludicrous in every way, and perfect because of that. I've only taken it to 2 car shows ever, but i have never seen so many people around a car at a show anywhere. Whether amazed, perplexed or laughing, this car always brings attention and is totally deserving to be finished up by someone who will love it as much as i do. It needs finished, still has some bugs to be worked out(like oil dipstick is loose and leaking oil on the exhaust which i think i point out in the video, needs steam holes drilled in the heads, small stuff like that) it also needs a new clutch master cylinder put in(which a brand new wilwood master cylinder and pedal assembly will come with the car or which i can install for an additional charge), but overall all the hard stuff is done it just needs finished/modified as you see fit. It is legally allowed to be driven on the road although i don't recommend driving it in traffic. It is stupid fast(and will probably kill you) and if you went as far as to put a posi and line lock in this thing would truly be insane as it wants to lift the front end now! I just wanted to have a v8 beetle, but once i finally drove it, it took on a new life. So then i put in a wolverine cam, blower, slicks, upgraded the ignition, exhaust etc...I was going to buy heads next and then eventually do a 4 link 9 bolt rear end which i still feel needs done to have this car be what it should be. The reserve is set very modestly and even though it is a project and is being sold as is i feel whomever buys this will be getting a great deal on a completely unique one of a kind car. Ask questions cause i love talking about it, but I wasn't sure how in-depth to go in the description so feel free to call anytime I will be happy to answer all questions Jason 614-515-0959. Also you can see a video of the car below. And if you live in or around Columbus, Ohio you can stop by and check it out in person. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction through paypal. The remainder is due within 7 days of end of auction, cash or certified check only. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements, but i will help with the shipping as much as i can.
