I am selling my 1999 Porsche Boxster. The car has about 127,000 miles and runs and drives perfect. I've had it for a year and a half and never had any problems with it. Everything works A/C ice cold, radio, power windows and etc. However, recently I had an issue. Due to the high rains in Florida it got flooded just less than one inch inside because I forgot to put the top down just for 30 minutes on the parking lot in the morning. It was enough to flood the Theft Control Unit ( part # 996.618.260.07 ) under the seat so the car doesn't start. Actually, I was able to start it and drive perfectly fine to the detailing shop but after I got there and shut the engine down the car wouldn't start again. To make the story short the Porsche dealership charges about $1200 to get that issue fixed. I don't have time and other resources to deal with it right now and decided to sell it on ebay as it is. Also, the convertible top is not working. You can put it up and down manually but the automatic part is not working. The motors themselves are working but the whole mechanism just missing some small pieces. I am hoping that there are some Porsche enthusiasts who are interested and would be able to bring this baby back to live. It is a great, fun, good looking car otherwise. Also, I have a clean Florida title in hand. I tried to describe the car in the best way and you are more than welcome to inspect it or ask me any questions; however, I might have missed something and have to sell the car as is due to it's current condition. The pictures bellow were taken when the car was in a good shape and was running. Last few pictures were taken from my friends mechanics shop where the car currently is. There is a picture of the unit that got flooded and needs to be replaced. I reserve the right to end the auction earlier if the car sells locally.
