This car has been in our family since college. Job loss forced us to move away and leave her in the backyard at our beach house. Everything in this car worked and car was running GREAT, until 2008 when we moved away to New York and left our beloved X-1/9 behind. We just moved back and discovered the salt air at the beach has eaten up much of the body. Under carriage, interior and running gear was in great shape. Car has not been started or driven in over four years. Tires and battery were brand new. I have a new job and a new life now, but no time to restore her. She is in the way and needs to go to a Fiat X-1/9 expert. It is a project car, with lots of parts. Spare set of wheels, spare A/C compressor, extra bumper pads, extra dashboard parts, spare window lifts, etc. If you love X-1/9's you will love this car. Even if you can not save this X-1/9 the parts are worth thousands. Maybe you will see the value of stripping the fenders off and rebuilding her? Either way, we grow too old to give her the love she deserves. This X-1/9 took us many miles with lots of memories, but as our days grow short, so do hers. Can you save her? We have no way to deliver her to you. You will need to come with your own flat-bed to pick her up. There are lots of spare parts that go with her. Fiat stopped producing these cars in 1986. Every day, more of these beautiful Italian masterpieces go to the scrap-metal-crusher and the few remaining X-1/9's go way up in value. Restored, she is worth an easy $15,000 - $20,000, you can have her for only $1,250. The parts alone are worth $1,000's. Please save her from the scrap-metal-crusher. I can not save her any longer.
