Vehicle Detail

this auction is for a 1950 E493A Ford prefect Ute, Brief history, I purchased this ute in California in 2004, it was stored in a barn in the Mojave Desert, out of the sun for a number of years. I had it shipped here to Massachusetts and began the process of restoring. Whe I got the ute the rear and porthole windows were missing, the rubber had dried out around the windows, the headliner had turned to dust, and the seat of kangaroo leather had rotted away. the good news is that with a fresh 6 volt battery and an oil change the motor took off at three cranks. This ute does not leak any oil at all. So the rebuilding began---these are the new parts I have purchased and installed--a new starter from Kip Motors, a NOS oil filter, a new core in the radiator, new brake shoes, new wiring, (part), new rear and porthole windows, new rubber, new hoses, and a brand new 6 volt battery in July. I also ccmmisioned the master auto upholster, Mr. Kevin Kovach, who fabricated a spectacular headliner as well as creating the most comfortable seat in existence. He also created a rug set and fabricated the door panels as well as creating the tonneau cover and ribs. We replaced all of the hoses and belts. We replace all of the tires, (5), with brand new Firestone Deluxe Champions What makes this Ute so unusual in the world is that it may be the only one remaining with the original hand painted wood grained dash and steering wheel remaining I will also be including the vast amount of parts I have accumulated over the past 9 years----they are as follows, a new water pump, new speedometer cable, NOS manual starting crank, a complete tie rod assembly, a very rare set of headliner bows, 2 complete brake drum, brakes, and backing plate assemblies, 3 additional front grilles, a nice bonnet ornament, a complete with crank front window assembly, NOS items include a puraltor oil filter in the box, a Lucas distributor in the box, a condensor in the box, and a rotor. I am including 2 carbs, the original license plate, a complete dash insert complete with all instuments, another speedometer, a clock, a NOS gas cap, a pair of very hard to find bumper over-riders, new hoses and belts, 2 complete headlamp assemblies, 2 interior light assemblies, window cranks, wiper arms, widow lifts, door handles for the exterior, incredibly rare interior door pulls, pedal covers, a bunch of badges and guages, a voltage regulator, and a a bunch of other pieces and parts. Rare pieces include Aquaplane speed equipment from the 50's made specifically for this 4 cylinder motor. You will get Aquaplane dual carby set up with the correct Zenith carbs including the ultra rare original rain hats and the complete linkage., You get the real rare aluminum Brewster Superhead complete with sparkplugs. you will get the extremly rare Aquaplane brochure of the early 1950s where all of the available parts are displayed. I am also going to include a super rare color wheel of Australian Ford auto colors from 1950 to 1969. I am also including my library of 28 books, manuals, and service bulletins - several which are one of a kind. I am also going to include the rare fold out issued by Ford of Australia in 1950 where they display all Ford Motor Products of the day. I am sure I forgot to list something but will load it all up for you. I will help with loading the Ute on what ever carrier you choose. I prefer Pay Pal for payment but if you would rather use a certified check, we can do that, and delivery to you will be when the check clears my bank. This Ute has been a blast to work on and drive---nobody here in New England had ever seen one. It sure gathers a crowd at any car show I have ever been at. Please remember this is a 60 something year old ute, it goes slow, its has 6 volts, it has mechanical brakes, best wishes to you all. ss
