Beautiful 1971 Volkswagon Karmann Ghia (NO RESERVE) High Bid Wins!!! Up for sale is a beautiful example of a low mileage 71 Karmann Ghia (in my opinion, the best year overall). This very desirable car has only had 3 owners in over 40 years. Much has been done to the ghia to keep it on the road including a rebuild of the original engine which now has approximately 3000 miles and does not leak or burn an drop of oil. This car has been garaged for most of its life and has been used as a pleasure car, as evidenced by the <104000 original miles. The car was repainted it original color (Adriatic Blue L50E) which is complemented by a mostly original interior, including the original carpet. Overall, the paint looks good, but is not perfect a few chips, and light spots, but no dents. (a good ten footer). The body does have a couple of isolated rust bubbles, but nothing significant at all. It is a solid running car that retains most of its originality and personality. The rockers and heater channels are solid, but the passenger side rocker is beginning to show some sign of rust (not through). The floors are in excellent condition. The front bumper is in very good condition, but the rear bumper corners need some attention. The car was just tuned up in preparation for its new owner. I just replaced the non-stock radio with the original AM radio and purchased a rebuilt working clock, which I will include.
