Up for consideration is a 1996 Ford, F-250, 4WD, extended-cab pickup. This is a pretty solid truck for the year as you can see from the photos. I've owned it for about a year. I was told by the previous owner that he bought it in West Virginia. That is why it isn't a rust bucket like many from that year.I believe that I am the 4th. owner. I bought it for my son, but now need to sell it because he needs something better on gas. It has a 7.5 liter gasoline V-8 (460 cu. in.). It has an automatic transmission, 4 X 4 and manually locking front hubs.I have 100% positive feedback and do not want any unsatisfied purchasers. Therefore, you are strongly encouraged to come see this in person and take it for a test drive. Here is what I know about this about this vehicle. PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE BIDDING, THANKS! THE GOOD:- Starts, runs and drives well.- All 4 X 4 components work well (hubs, transfer case, Hi-Lo range, etc.)- New starter and radiator.- Solid truck for the year.- Bed liner.- Diamond plate bed rails.- 2" Hitch.- Doesn't appear to have been used for plowing (don't see any brackets or modifications to the front bumper area, etc.). I've never plowed with it, towed with it, etc.- Clear title in my name (no liens).- Would make good work truck, hauler, plow truck, etc.- Have a new set of front brake pads for it that go with the truck. Never even had the front wheels off to see if they needed replacing or not. THE BAD:- Has dual fuel tanks, but only the front one works. It's been fine for us, as I couldn't afford to fill them both!!- No CD player. Only AM/FM/Cassette.- Tailgate dented (see pic)- 2 surface rust spots (see pics)- Son made 2 modifications (good or bad, depending on your viewpoint): 1. Had the catalyst and original muffler removed and a Flowmaster super 44 muffler installed. This vehicle doesn't have a rear O2 sensor so no worries (no MIL light on). 2. Installed a red strobe light and a blue strobe light by the headlights that can be operated from the cigarette lighter plug (all the kids at school had them.....yeah). I can remove them if you want.- Shift linkage is a bit sloppy. The transmission shifts fine, it's just when you are putting in gear, you can feel that the linkage is a bit loose. Stays in each gear and park just fine, just want you to know everything. I believe that is everything to the best of my knowledge. The interior isn't bad, just put some seat covers on to cover up the normal wear. So that's it. It's a pretty decent truck in my opinion. But it is a USED vehicle and as such, does NOT come with any type of warranty. As I stated earlier, I encourage you to come and test drive it BEFORE bidding. There is no reserve and it is NOT for sale locally. So the high bidder gets it. I believe that the minimum bid that I am asking, is fair.
