1941 Pontiac Silver Streak Coupe with the very desirable Torpedo Streamliner fastback body. A good restoration candidate, this automobile is equipped with the correct flathead 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed column shift and under seat heater. Odometer says 37,000 but who knows? The engine purrs like a kitten with no smoke or funny noises and it shifts though the gears smoothly. Built like a tank, this unique prewar beauty sits nice. The brakes should be serviced as the pedal goes to the floor and the tires are dry rotted. I'll try adding brake fluid. Bring a trailer. The frame rails are solid and the rear springs are still wrapped in the original rubber! The seats were recovered years ago and I’m sure the original upholstery is underneath. The side bolsters are intact and still carry the Fisher Body logo. All the curved glass is there but shows some delamination and the front floors/ truck are lacework. Someone did a bondo job on the body a long time ago and all the rust has come back though. The trunk and back seat contain boxes of most if not all of the trim pieces, the top to the air cleaner and the old carpet for patterns. There are a couple of ways to go here. A complete restoration would be nice but with new tires, a brake system rebuild, the accelerator pedal repaired, and a complete check of all systems, this automobile would cruise down the road as a Drivable Dream for not much money. Weighing the rarity against the overall condition, I’ve set a pretty fair reserve and it must be sold. I’m listing for a friend.
