The 1979 Toyota Cressida, Toyota's luxury sedan, did not change for the model year. The 1979 Toyota Cressida came as a wagon or a sedan. It had a 2.6-liter, 115 horsepower six cylinder. Some of the standard features included air conditioning and an AM/FM/cassette player with an amplifier, both of which were unusual standard features for the times. The 1979 Cressida came standard with an automatic transmission, but a five-speed manual was also available. The 1979 Toyota Cressida has many fans even today, who through regular maintenance and the occasional repair have kept their cars as good as new over the years. Enthusiasts say they like the car for its good looks, reliability, comfort, and handling. Some have had a problem with rust. This car runs and drives great, all power windows work, still has original radio and tape player, very clean interior. Dash has couple cracks though its been covered with a dash carpet, see the pictures! Tires have 90% tread on after market spoke wheels. The exterior looks great for its age! Some scratches, dents and fading spots on the paint!! No rust. One owner Arizona car!!! Temperature gauge some times works some times it does not but, car never overheats! Transmission and engine are in a great shape !! Note: this car its a 5 digit so I really don't know if it been rolled over or not!
