Hi, I am selling my baby, a 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0. The mileage says 148,000, but this is inaccurate. The prior owner put a 140 mph speedometer in the car and it turns mileage waaayyyy tooo fast. I purchased this car off ebay around Feburary from a gentleman who told me it was excellent, no oil leaks, etc. I paid 4,500.00 for vehicle. The vehicle DID leak oil and upon further inspection, my mechanic found that the bell housing was bolted on with one screw. The oil pan has a "hump" in it so he took the entire engine out, changing all gaskets, fixing all leaks, he put a new rear main seal and all things that were exposed at that time. The bell housing was ok but he re-did all the stuff on the inside (can you tell I am female and do not know much about cars). Needless to say $2,200 later the car car runs perfect and is very fast and very smooth. He told me it had alot of extras in it that the previous owner installed. I do not know what these extras are and i am trying to archive the original ebay listing as he had everything listed. I changed all the drip rails and moldings. The quarter windows are brand new OEM and not aftermarket. I then had all little dings taken out and a beautiful $3,000 paint job done in April. I also just put new tires on vehicle, Nexen N3000's which are barely broken in. The interior has a rear seat delete so I utilized this and had an awesome stereo system installed with dual amps and two twelve inch subwoofers ($1,500). I also had lights professionally installed that are LED and look great. The front are the halo lights. The interior also has ambient lighting in the floor boards. It has a hurst shifter. The front seats are from a 1994 mustang and are black leather. There are absolutely no rips or tears. I put new seat covers on it to boost me up a little bit. I also had a clutch extender installed as i am only 5'4" and did not like to eat the steering wheel. The only reason I am selling this car is, not sure if you can see, but in the background is my new baby, a 2013 California Special convertible, and i also have another vehicle as well. I am hoping this goes to someone who will take good care of it. I added new pictures, maybe someone can see upgrades, I DO know it has an after market exhaust which sounds incredible and ?shorty headers? that may make sense to someone. I tried showing lights, but pictures do not do it justice. I have the car insured until 08/15 if someone wants to test drive it. Also, this car was formally blue, in South Carolina, DMV could care less if you change colors as long as you pay taxes. Hopes this helps, thank you again for looking. People are asking me about the reserve..I have it at $4,800.00, which is the original price I paid for the car plus the shipping charges I paid. So realistically, you are getting the $7,000 I put into this car for nothing.
