CONDITION: Restoration Work-In-Progress. ITEMS DONE include: REBUILD of flathead 6 cylinder engine, 3-speed Hy-Drive transmission. Replaced radiator, oil pump timing chain, plugs/cap/rotor-distributor assembly. UPGRADED tires. NEW 6-volt battery. Professionally stripped and repainted in real close to original San Diego Gold and White exterior colors. Patched and rust-proofed several minor floorboard holes.Replaced original seat upholstery, re-using original material where possible.Replaced original carpeting with a custom-cut one-piece. Replaced front brakes, front shocks, brake master cylinder. Replaced original 17-gallon gas tank, with another purchased off eBay. Most replaced parts were NOS from eBay. ITEMS REMAINING include: Sheet metal between front bumper and grill requires attention. Rechrom front and rear bumpers. Windshield glass has slight spidering. Rear glass in NOT tinted. Vacuum-tube radio does not work, but there is a replacement in the spare parts inventory. FEATURES: Hy-Drive transmission CAN be driven as a VERY slow-accelerating automatic. Texas plates. COULD be a daily driver. NEVER intended to be a Trailer-Queen. HISTORY: Purchased in 2001 from the estate of my later brother-in-law in Indiana. Rebuild work was done by professional mechanics and machine shops in Indiana. Transported to Texas in 2003. Passed New-in-state vehicle inspection.
