1961 Boyertown ice cream truck.. Ratrod. Lowered 9",302, C6, 54 Ford grill, 51 Ford bumper, handmade sun visor and fender skirts. Only 5900 miles on body, 25 K on drivetrain. It was Virgina Beaches ice cream truck, way back when. Totally one of a kind!! Show winner!! On Jul-26-12 at 17:41:30 PDT, seller added the following information: It's on a 1961 Ford 1 ton chassis. It was built in '61 at the Boyertown plant in Boyertown,PA. They built service vehicles, way back when. It was orginally used in VA, at the boardwalk, in Virgina Beach. It stayed there, outside, that is why the rust is just surface, and it's not rusted out, saltwater in the air. The body/chassis has 5,900 miles, the 302 Ford V8/C6 auto(with 25,000 miles) was installed in the early 2000's by the second owner, in PA. It then went to OH, where the remaining custom work was done. A '54 Ford grill, '51 Ford front bumper, handmade fender skirts/sun visor, lowered 9" from stock. It has a 1000w stearo with outside speakers even! It has some custom lighting outside, working head, tail, brake, turn lights,along with the factory lighting above the serving windows, witch are not the stock serving windows, they do not leak, nothing does. It has sliding doors. It has two seats, driver and front passenger. The drivers seat is a high end lawn mower seat(VERY comfy), Skag. The pass seat is out of an Astro van. It has a wooden floor in back. Factory gauges don't work, it has a little custom gauge cluster under the dash. No PS nor PB. Straight axle front susp. Runs,drives, shifts, stops, steers, ect GREAT!! Better than you'd think FOR SURE!!! The tires are in good shape. The frame is good,honestly the only thing I don't like is that the speedo isn't hooked up, and it's it's hot inside, it being a big metal box... LOL. Its legally plated here in IN. Also fully Insured through Haggarty. When it was 105 out until two weeks ago for WEEKS on end, it ran a little hot a couple times. We drive it.. It's fun.
