You are bidding on a dark blue (midnight blue) 1989 420sel. It has 283,000 meticulously maintained miles. Car has been serviced by only 1 Mercedes mechanic. It has been garaged for the past 5 years. It started right up the other day after being parked for so long. Engine runs smooth along with transmission. The transmission was changed approximately 20,000 miles ago. Complete engine overhaul was performed with new heads approximately 150,000 miles ago. Alternator is new as well. I have receipts for everything in a file that will come with the car. The middle muffler needs to be replaced. The rear is fine and comes with the car (pictured). Comes with spare heating/AC push button assembly, oil filter, headlight bulb, BRAND NEW TIRES, no rust, new power steering pump, AC was retrofitted with r143a and new expansion valve. Radio head unit was upgraded and a cd changer was placed in the trunk. Recent items changed include: air filter fuel filter power steering filter t.mission filter engine oil t.mission oil spark plugs distribution rotor/cap spark plug wires belts coolant brake rotors brake pads brake fluid windshield Things that don’t work. Central locking from the outside. The key doesn’t go into the keyhole very smoothly. The AC doesn’t work, but the heater does. Car needs a central muffler. Rear comes with the car. CD changer is intermittent. Battery is dead and will need to be jump started. Due to the years this car has been standing in the garage, it will be safer if it is towed.
