Up for auction is a 1973 Beetle. The car was a west coast car and has perfect floor pans. It has newer carpet and brand new VW OEM upholstery. Door panels are new and side rear panels are new also. It has a new battery, rebuilt front end, and brand new tires. The car runs good and the trans shifts fine through all gears. Trans does whine in 4th gear at lower speeds. Car is for sale locally also. I have the right to end bidding early to sell the car locally. The bad: Might as get the bad over with so you see it first It needs the carpet repositioned or replaced. All four fenders needs replaced Rear deck lid needs replaced Rear apron needs replaced Front hood needs replaced Front apron needs replaced There is rust that needs repairs on each side of the rear windows by the side vents there is also rust under the rear window seal. the car was in a minor wreck (it rear ended some other car.) You can see that the head lights are not aimed correctly and the left bumper bracket was torn off the car. there is no radio I do not know if the horn works or not it is disconected from the car but I will send it with the other items All lights and turn signals work EXCEPT for the back up lights THE Good The floor pans are PERFECT!! I mean PERFECT not even any battery rust! All seats have NEW VW basketweave black upholstery and padding I have four brand new fenders 2 front 2 rear for the correct model of 1973 included with the car I have the headliner (not installed) included with the car I have a new rear deck lid and rear apron included with the car I have 2 brand new OEM front turn signals for the 1973 year included with the the car. The rear tail lite lenses are new I have new sun visors included with the car I have all new window rubber seals for front, rear side and back windows The car has four brand new tires with less than 100 miles on them On Jul-30-12 at 19:41:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lowered the reserve and buy it now price due to the fact that the carb is leaking gas.
