I moved to Mass. less than a year ago and bought this Subaru to get me through the New England winter. It drove wonderfully, was excellent in the snow and a lot of fun to drive. Recently, however, I was driving to work and the engine seized. I found out later that this was due to a faulty oil filter which caused the gasket to pop out of place and dump oil all over the road...by the time I realized something was wrong my engine was toast. I can't afford a new engine right now, and am moving overseas soon anyway, so repairing it is not really an option. The car is in excellent condition besides the state of the engine. The interior is pristine and the body is flawless with the exception of a few scuff marks on the front left bumper. It is loaded with power doors, power windows, cruise control, CD player, AC, and Alarm. It has been well maintained and I just replaced the oil pan prior to the engine trouble. This car would be well worth the investment of a new engine, or someone could get an excellent deal if they wanted to do some of the work themselves and maybe even turn around and sell it for a profit. Obviously the car doesn't currently run and the winning bidder will have to arrange their own means to transport the car from Northampton, MA.
