It is not a show car, rather an older restoration showing its age that presents very well at local cruises or when cruising around. The chrome shines great overall, with a few blemishes on a few of the chrome pieces and stainless. The body is solid overall with a few very small rust spots and the paint job also has a beautiful shine, but there are some chips, blemishes and bubbles in this older repaint. The heater blower works, but the heater function dial, clock and radio do not work. The dual exhaust with cherry bomb mufflers, however, provide sweet music for your cruising pleasure. The engine detailing is nice, but not perfect. The headliner is in excellent condition with no marks or tears, the interior and aftermarket padded dash are in overall great shape. The seats have been re-upholstered in the original pattern with black vinyl but the inserts are not of the correct original fabric. Aftermarket safety belts have been added to both front and rear seats. The hood ornament and fiberglass fender skirts are reproduction. The engine runs strong, the rebuilt transmission shifts smooth, the treadle vac power brake booster has also been rebuilt and the Teletouch push button shift works fine. The engine idles rough at operating temperature but otherwise runs fine. If you are looking for a show car, it would need a new paint job among other details. If you want a great looking, strong running cruiser, however, you can drive it and enjoy it as is. The car can be inspected, in person. by appointment before the close of the auction.
