Vehicle Detail
Four Things: 1) This car is for sale locally, and on forums. If it goes there, I reserve the right to cancel this.2) This car is not stock. This car is running on E85. If you want to drive to me to drive the car back, you're either going to need to bring enough E85 fuel, or a flat bed. If you use the "BUY IT NOW" option, I will have the shop who did the most recent tune on the car, with E85, do a 93 octane tune as well. This will add time to the delivery/pickup of the car. Be aware of this.3) There is technically Mitsubishi warranty on the car. You could probably get them to cover, like, a door knob. Good luck on anything mechanical.4) I frankly don't care HOW you pay. Want to pay with a post dated, out of country check? Fine. Sure. But whatever method it is, it's going to have to clear, and the shadier it looks (ie, a starter check from a failed bank), the longer I'm going to wait. It's nothing personal, I just hate you. Added 7/13/2012: Engine Bay Shots: http://wedontlikeu.com/images/car/EvoX/Selling/Motor/ There's four types of people who will hit this posting: 1) "OMG HAI I WAS SEARCHING STI AND IT SUGGESTED EVO AND THEN I SEARCHED EVO AND HERE I AM!"2) "I was looking for an Evo 8 or 9, since, well, they're better"3) "I was legitimately looking for an Evo X"4) "I was looking for a Lancer DE. This is not a Lancer DE. Why does it smell like corn?" Now, granted, I'll SELL to anyone. I could not care less. But this is a heavily modified, fully built, E85 drinking, raging piece of machine. This is not a ca as much as it is a prosthetic penis. A fantastic penis, at that. So, here's some forum links you should hit: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43946 - My Build Thread on EvoXForums. Yeah, I'm using the avatar of Jerry Sandusky. No, I don't find it inappropriate. http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55660- Dyno @ TopSpeed in Atlanta, GA. They are a big, awesome, neato shop. You can compare my dyno on there with any number of other Dynos they offer. This was at 26psi on 93 octane. Keep that in mind. Those two links will give you some background on my build process. Pictures: Basically, these are like... every single picture I ever took of the car, ever, while posting 10k times on EvoXForums, when I was in the midst of the build. Peruse at your leisure. It shows the car at different stages, obviously. http://lolsony.com/images/car/EvoX/ I have obviously not attached too many pictures, mostly since, well, I don't think pictures are going to sell this car, eh? There's only one real "damage spot": The trunk lid. I removed the stock wing, because RACECAR, that's why, and scratched the paint in doing so.PICTURE: http://www.wedontlikeu.com/images/car/evox/selling/trunk1.jpg and http://www.wedontlikeu.com/images/car/evox/selling/trunk2.jpg The one photo is of the trunk: Yup, that's a surge tank. Nope, you ain't got a usable trunk. Because RACECAR, that's why. And yup, it smells like gas, because RACECAR, that's why. Current status of the car, after reading all of my awesome forum posts: It's damn near perfect. Runs awesome on E85, the volume of fuel helping offset the huge 2100cc injectors. Drives beautifully, torque galore, pulls like a freight train, and idles perfectly. Smells like E85 in the morning, quickly dissipates as you drive. As mentioned above, I do not have a 93 octane map I feel comfortable with giving you. The only one I have is for a 3bar MAP sensor, and there's a 4bar MAP sensor in the car now. I can give you the map itself (it's for a Cobb AP), or, if you use the BUY IT NOW option, I will get the car retuned for 93, so then you'd have an opensource (ECU Flash) 93 and E85 map. Because I'm that awesome. So, why am I getting rid of the car? Simple: I want to do other things with my money. Spend it on cheese, wine, fine linen, a house, apartments, drugs, whatever. I just don't want a fast car anymore, not worth it for me. You will be getting two sets of rims, should you want them both: The Rotas, one of which has been curbed but repainted (looks fine), and the stock GSR rims, currently clad in snow tires, Nexen WinGuard Sports. The Rotas are currently clad in ~3000 mile old Michelin Pilot Super Sports, 265/35/18s. Rear fenders have been pulled slightly, due to the weight of the trunk (surge tank) and the width of the tire, they were rubbing a bit. No more. Aside from the mechanical, umm... let's see. It's red. The interior is damn perfect. Navigation system works. Sirius radio works but has no subscription. It's the SSS package, so it has the HIDs and the nice Rockford Fosgate and the subwoofer. Dyno picture is the most recent dyno @ SloMotion in Columbus, OH You're going to have questions: Message me on here, ask them, toss me your phone number, and we can talk. Easiest way, period. Car is located in Columbus, OH. You, the buyer, are responsible for getting it. I will work with you however I can, short of driving it to you or something. Just ask, we'll make it work. Thanks!
