1999 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA GLS

RUNS AND DRIVES VERY GOOD!

Highlights:

• This VW has 127,384 Miles.
• It runs and drives great with a strong 2.0L, 4-Cyl gas-sipping engine and smooth shifting 5-speed manual transmission (Very good clutch engagement)!
• This Jetta's only real deficiencies are in the cosmetics (mainly the interior) and some broken or worn parts inside. Mechanically, this car seems very strong!
• This Jetta looks good outside (it had been repainted at some point recently), but does have dent on the left rear door above the window (see pic below) and a small dent on the hood with a couple long cracks in the paint beside it. The rest of the paint shines pretty good, but could use a good polishing.
• The black rubber trim on the doors is loose in spots, the front bumper is missing a small grille on the lower left side (see pic below) and the rear bumper has a circular area of scratches on the right side with a pushed-up area beneath that near the exhaust tips (see pic below).
• The windshield, side glass, rear window, alloy wheels, and more on the exterior look very good!
• The tires are like new in the back and the fronts have about 60-70% tread-life remaining!
• The interior carpet, floor mats, seats, headliner, etc. all look good, but the black coating on the door handles and the center console is peeling bad. This is purely a cosmetic issue (see pic below). The driver's door panel is scratched badly and the door pull is loose (the courtesy light is missing too). The left rear door panel is loose and also scratched. The interior has lots of pet hair (especially on the back seat) and will require a really good detailing. There is no animal smell inside though.
• The headliner is a little dirty, but not drooping. The overhead light with integrated map lights is loose and falls down (see pic below).
• Mechanically and electronically this Jag is in good condition with no obvious problems except for some blown rear door speakers.
• The power windows & window switches all work, the interior blower works (A/C does not blow cold at all), the overhead lights all work, the exterior lights all work, and the radio itself works, but a couple speakers are blown.
• This VW runs great, drives great, has a current VA State Inspection sticker, and has no obvious mechanical problems.
• However, we have not checked all the mechanical systems, nor have we checked the car for another State Inspection, so be aware there may be some work to do that has not been mentioned.
• This Jetta is a really good car that runs and drives great and has tons of other great qualities, as well as a lot of potential. It will be a great buy for a detail oriented person who can make the cosmetic repairs because that's the only real problem with this car. This would be a great work car or a great first car for your teenager.
• Remember, this is a NO RESERVE auction so you may just be able to get this Jetta for a steal from us, so BID NOW and BID OFTEN!
