Beautiful California 1980 Mercedes 300SD in original condition. I am listing this car for a friend of mine. I was instrumental in her buying this beauty. Unfortunately she has to leave on an assignment overseas for a year. She wants this beauty sold if the reserve is met, if not stored until her return. This classic car is 32 years old and runs, drives and looks beautiful. It has so much power, it is unbelievable. You really have to test drive the car to see the power of the engine. Turbo kicks in as it should. It is like a bullet. It hugs the road and drives like a dream. Drives straight with no vibrations, shakes or any issues. Transmission shifts excellent and very smooth. Suspension is great and holds the car down with no issues. The speedometer on this car reads to max of 85MPH and I have driven it at 85MPH with the cruise control on with no problems. Over all an excellent 32 year old car. Never smoked in, no leaks and no rust. This car is like a tank, solid all around and very safe inside. The doors close like a safe. Original white paint in good condition after all these years with minor scratches and paint chips. Interior very clean and always covered--seats, dash and rear deck covered. All windows, sun roof, central locking, original becker radio and A/C work. All lights, and gauges work including the clock. Tachometer works all the time but on deceleration drops down and picks up again on acceleration. Tires have lot of thread left. Car comes with original mats, first aid kit, original tool kit and original spare tire. All the filters have been changed and ready to drive any where. No smog for diesels in California and registered to April 2013. Easy to convert to Veggie oil if desired. Excellent gas mileage now in the high 20's.
