I would first like to clarify the AutoCheck report: Accident: In 1993 the original owner turned a bit wide into a shopping center parking space at less than 2mph and bumped the fender of another vehicle with the right side of the front bumper. NO DAMAGE was done to Land Cruiser. There was no repair performed, no insurance claim, and the original bumper and fender remain on the LC. A Police Report was filed because of damaged fender on the hit vehicle and the LC owner was at fault. Title Issue: Yes, There was a Duplicate Title Issued in 2009 because I could not find the other copy. Don’t know why AutoCheck calls this a Title Issue. There is only ONE Title for the Land Cruiser and it’s a CLEAR Arizona Title. Odometer: The speedometer stopped working and was REPLACED. Odometer reading at time of replacement was 147,702 and replacement gauge read 65,367. Current reading is 69,385 which places actual mileage on body at approximately 152,000. Funny that AutoCheck says odometer OK. Number of Owners: First 2 owners were father and son. Father passed away (87yrs old) and LC was then Titled in sons name. I am owner 3 & 4 – I Titled once in Florida and re-Titled when registered in Arizona to reflect the odometer replacement. Emissions: The Land Cruiser PASSES EMISSIONS TESTING and is running exceptionally clean. The failed tests in 7/2011 turned out to be a cracked fuel injector that was dumping too much fuel, took me several trys to figure out what the problem was. Cracked Injector was replaced with a new one and the LC passed with flying colors. Inspection Results are as follows: 10/18/2011 Hydrocarbons in PPM: Loaded reading 62, Idle reading 57 standard/acceptable 220 Carbon Monoxide in %: Loaded reading .59 Idle reading .28 standard/acceptable 1.20 NO RESERVE AUCTION Up for auction is an Immaculate, fully restored 1990 FJ62 Land Cruiser 4X4, Automatic. This Land Cruiser is without question, one of the finest in the Country. The LC was originally purchased in Miami FL by Carlos Lopez when he was in his early 70’s. I knew Mr. Lopez for about seven years before his passing at the age of 87. The LC was always garaged, never taken off-road by Mr. Lopez, his son, or myself. There is absolutely NO RUST EVER! Not even surface rust. The inside of all four doors, and all fenders are as new without the slightest sign of rust. I admired the LC for years because it was 100% original and in such pristine condition. I offered to purchase the LC from Carlos at least once a year but he wouldn’t let it go. After his passing, I purchased it from his son Arlen who himself was in his mid 60’s. The first thing I did was have it repainted the original Beige Metallic. Mr. Lopez was from the old school of car care and literally washed, compounded and waxed the paint off of it. Nearly 15 years of being compounded yearly, the paint was worn thin and needed repainting. Once painted, I was hooked and decided to completely restore it to a condition that I could keep it for the rest of my life and have it survive another 200k miles. This has been a 5 plus year process costing over $26,000 in parts and labor, 150+ hrs of uncompensated labor on top of the original purchase price of $12,000. After $38,000 the results are worth every penny. All mechanical work done by professionals in their field of specialty - Engine assembly/installation, Transmission/Transfer case , Brakes, Suspension, A/C , Axle/Differential rebuild, Paint etc. What we have today is a FJ62 Land Cruiser that anyone would be proud to own, gets attention wherever it goes, and is 100% mechanically sound and reliable. It needs absolutely nothing. As stated earlier, the Land Cruiser has NEVER been Off-Road and the axles, skid plates, and drive shafts do not have a single scrape or scratch on them. The entire vehicle is spotless – no dirt, rust, grease or grime anywhere – interior, exterior, under hood, and under carriage are all detailed. Has not been driven in rain in 5 years. Never smoked in and no odd used vehicle smells or artifical scents.
