Up for sale is this RARE 1979 Dodge Little Red Express Truck(Lil Red). There were only 5000 of these trucks produced in 1979. The truck has a rebuilt 383 big block in it now with maybe 2000-3000 miles on it, the original anemic factory 360 is long gone. This motor is WICKED! i was told it is a stroker motor by previous owner, i have no proof of that. it has a sweet cam and definitely has some crazy power. It has 4:10 sure grip rear as well. Automatic transmission, shifts good. does have a small seal leak from sitting. The truck was a daily driver 2-3 years ago but has sat for the better part of the last 2 years .i have driven it down the highway by my shop. I would not drive it a long distance only because the carb is a little temperamental until warm and tires are starting to dry rot from age. The body needs restored, has typical rust issues, but it does have mostly original paint and original wood on the truck. The rust i have seen is a touch on front lip of hood, the drivers floor pan needs a small patch in middle, roof front by drip has some rust, lower doors, and the bed has some. The frame rails, under hood, etc. is all clean. All new brakes were put on this truck a few hundred miles ago front to back. The exhaust is also less than 2 years old and was $400. the new exhaust runs from manifolds to the factory stacks. It sounds awesome. All in all this is a very cheap driveable restoration project of a very rare truck. Not many of these are still around. I do have a clear open Louisiana title in hand.
