My 2001 Volkswagen Jetta needs some work, but could be the right car for someone who could do repair work themselves.My "Check Engine" light went on a few months ago, and when I took it to Halsey Automotive, where I've had most of my repair work done, the told me it needed the following (price quoted from Halsey Automotive follows each item):Thermostat ($170)Coolant Temperature Sensor ($70)Front O2 Sensor ($212)Rear 02 Sensor ($258)Mass Air Sensor ($237.50)V.C. Gasket leaking ($175)Front Engine Seals leaking - Timing belt soaked ($770)Steam cleaning of Timing belt ($52.50)Coolant Flange leaking ($95)Windshield wipers - repair linkage ($105) The total estimate came to $2,220. The car has also been in two minor fender benders in the last 11 years; damages have been repaired. It has a few dings here and there as well as some paint issues in spots, but still looks good overall. I am the original owner, and all service records are available. The most significant repair was in 2008 when I had the engine rebuilt at Halsey Automotive. Newer tires, battery. Runs good, drives well. Please call or e-mail me with questions. Thanks!
