Vehicle Detail
1972 Mercedes 280 SEL 4.5 V-8, Auto, Air With 31K original miles- (50k kilometers-European model) I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: We just received this beautiful Mercedes from an estate of a gentleman who lived in the Hill Country in Texas. His widow sold us the car. The car originally was brought to Texas from Canada in 1986 (it is a European model with kilometers). At that time, they parked the car in the garage and left it until now. This is why the car has such low mileage. We put a battery in the car, the engine turns beautifully, but we did not start it as the gas tank has to be drained and cleaned up. Even the radio and instruments came to life. The car has small rust on the bottom of the front and back fenders, and there is some rust in the trunk. The car needs restoration. The car will be sold with Canadian Title + bill of sale from our company, a Power of Attorney from the widow for the new owner, and documentation showing she inherited the car. The new owner will have to apply for the title through a title company. The car will be sold with no reserve so please bring your trailer and we will help you load up this beautiful treasure. The car has fantastic potential for anyone who is familiar with Mercedes. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Remember that this classic car is 40 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person. Your bid is your contract. Please place bids only if you are serious about buying the item. If you are the winning bid, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase the item. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The car will be sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee. For pricing regarding classical automobiles/bikes you can refer to www.nadaguides.com We reserve the right to cancel any bid for excessive negative feedback. And I may also advertise it locally. Enjoy!
