Original 1932 Ford 5 window Coupe, Real Henry Steel, "Barn Find" Up for grabs is an Original 1932 Ford 5 window coupe. This car was bought new in PA and driven a modest 77,283 miles before it was painstakingly "hung" from the ceiling of a bone dry block garage with no windows, where it remained for the next 31 years. The gentleman hung it there so he could make space for more cars and motorcycles in the small Pittsburgh garage. Unfortunately he passed before he could build his dream hot rod. It has remained in its original state for all these years. The car is a numbers match running factory 4 cylinder model, sporting all original parts with the exception of the head lamp bar, which is off of an original 32 V8 car. All interior garnish moldings seating and gauges are present. This car sports the cleanest, straightest grille shell and insert I have ever seen and is wearing mostly original paint. There is only one non-factory drilled hole on the firewall that I can see and the remainder of the car including the dash, roof and cowl are uncut, unfilled and unchopped. The car has minor outer body corrosion associated with an 80 year old vehicle. The floors inner quarter, bracing and firewall are rock solid as can be seen in the photographs. This is a trunk lid car with a factory roll down rear window, dual tail lamps and a factory spare tire carrier. The engine block has a recent paint job with new spark plugs and hoses. The original radiator was flushed and is in good condition. The fuel tank has not been flushed and the engine is run from a fuel can. The mechanical brakes are in working condition (around the garage) but have not been gone over. The original wire harness is frayed and dry rotted and this vehicle would obviously need gone over to be a safe driver.
