Vehicle Detail
Great opportunity for sale by owner an orginal 1972 Ford XLT short bed truck in good driver condition. The truck is equipped with an orginal rebuilt 302 V8 that does not smoke or use oil. See attached link: http://youtu.be/QltcRHnMxME to see and hear the truck running. Odometer works and shows 23,826 miles, actual mileage is 123,826 miles. Transmission is an orginal 3-speed column mounted manual and tires are Goodyear Eagle RSA P225-70R 15. The truck still has the orginal interior but the seat cover and carpet are in poor condition and need replacing. Also the XLT steering wheel insert missing. Truck still has the orginal AM Radio, jack and FoMoCo wheel covers. The orginal owners manual is also present. All XLT trim is present and in good condition. Grille is good front chrome bumper is fair. All glass is good. Truck bed is solid with some rust around the edges as seen in photo, bed has chrome rails and a Tuffliner Plus liner. Head and tail lights and rear cargo light are working. The body has a few dings most notably on the hood, right door and right front corner of the top. This truck could be used as a driver or as a candidate for restoration. I've owned and driven the truck for nine of the past ten years and it still looks great as a 50/50 -either at 50 feet or 50 mph. The paint is getting thin in places and the truck has some rust in the usual places - see pictures. (bottom of drivers door, right back quarter over trim, hood, floorboards and bed). The truck is drivable and bidders are welcomed to inspect and drive the truck prior to bidding by contacting me via e-mail to set up time/date. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the truck is also for sale locally.
