Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a genuine 1970 340 Duster with a matching numbers motor. 340 Engine, 727 Trans, 8 ¾ 3.91 Dana Power Loc (w/correct indicating speedo mph). Manual Steering. Manual Brakes w/OEM 4 piston front disks. Electronic Ignition. Console. Tuff Steering Wheel. 150mph speedo, tach. OEM Jack and Spare. Dual Sport Mirrors. Day/Night Mirror, Trip Odometer, Cigar Lighter, Dual Note Horns. Aluminized FULL 2.5" exhaust,, Factory Tips. Mopar Performance Timer w/ front wheel sensor. Excellent Tires 215/70/14 Front, 245/60/14 Rear. Chrysler Corp key set. This is the correct exterior for 1970 with the exception of the exhaust tips. Tips are '71 pieces. '70 had rusty steel turndowns. Go wings, spoilers, hood scoops, and 340 hood / side graphics were not offered in 1970. They add flair but are not correct for 1970. Rare to find a real ‘70 340 car that hasn’t been drilled or stickered to add the flair. The exterior color is In-Violet. On Dodge cars it was called Plum Crazy. It is a blue metallic base with iridescent red. You can see the color change in the pictures. Depending on the way the light hits it shows either more blue or more red. It’s a very cool color effect. This is a genuine factory go fast muscle car, not a converted family sedan. For 1970 Chrysler Corp gave Plymouth the go ahead to create the baddest A-body of them all. This format was that result. No PS or PB. The manual steering is much quicker response. No pump to sap horsepower and no belts, hoses and other crap to break or leak. The manual brakes allow for any camshaft since there is no parasitic vacuum draw. With the 4 piston front calipers this car stops quicker and with more control than power brakes. The car doesn’t go sideways. It hooks up, pins you in the seat and leaves whatever is in the other lane in the rear view mirror ! The motor has been balanced and blueprinted and spins up to strong 7,000 RPM. The exhaust note is crisp, exhilarating and literally roars through 2 ½" aluminized pipes all the way out the back. The trans has HD clutches and a shift kit that will give neck snaps. The rear end has Moser Axles, Super Stock Springs and the Dana Power Loc to ensure solid launches while keeping the car straight. Unlike Sure-Grip the Dana unit sends equal power to both wheels before any wheel slippage. The car has zero wheel hop. The seats are padded leather and they are so much better than the bouncy slippery factory vinyl as they keep you planted when the pedal is mashed. The original OEM seatbelts are present including both the shoulder harness and lap belts. The rear is trimmed out like a traditional 2 seater. The current seats are mounted using the factory locations. Everything exists proper to revert the seats back if that's your thing. OEM Service Manual, Original Broadcast sheet, Extra Set (4) of Aluminum Rims w/Rubber. I started with these A-Body Mopars back when folks were still using them as daily drivers. I can answer any question you may have.Good luck bidding and thanks for looking. Payment Terms: $500 due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due within 7 days of auction close. Car is released when payment clears. Delivery or pickup of the car is the buyers responsibility. Cash settlement upon pickup of car is acceptable. I reserve the right to end this auction early for favorable terms.
