Up for auction is Prototype Number 2 Ext Cab Saleen Thunder S331 Ford F150 pickup truck. This is the truck you will see when you search for Saleen Thunder on the web. It was used for prototyping, the show circuit and the brochure. This truck has everything offered from Saleen at the time. It has the prototype Mustang supercharger, two tone interior, FX4/ Saleen instrument panel, Saleen embroidery on the headrests, trailer towing, side exhaust, 23” Saleen wheels, Saleen suspension upgrades, big brake package and all of the original prototype body panels and modifications. I have put approximately 5,000 miles on the truck while I have been making it a running useable vehicle. There is a Michigan “Assembled Vehicle Identification Vin” assigned and issued title (MI 1626A141K04912) for the truck because the vin tag on the cowl and dash states ”Saleen Prototype Ext Cab 00002”. I do have a Bill of Sale from the company that purchased the Saleen assets as well. I am selling to thin out my collection. Because this is an assemblers title from the State of Michigan the year listed on the title for the truck is the year the assembly was completed. The truck was completed and made road worthy in 2012 so the title will show it as a 2012. But, as I stated above it is a 2004-2007 body style. The truck was sold to Saleen in 2004 or 2005 for $1 directly off the assembly line to be used for prototyping of the Thunder concept. If you have any questions please call me.
