For your consideration is this 1958 BMW Isetta 300. This is the sliding window export model that was completely restored in 1975 and has been stored inside and only used for parades ever since. It is powered by the 13 horse 1 cylinder which has had new rings installed and the valves ground as well as a new clutch installed. The car runs and drives very nice and has been in over 500 parades since the restoration. Very dependable running car. The same owner for almost 40 years. You can be driving this 300 in a parade as soon as you get it home. Some of the things that I know it needs are as follows. The windshield has a crack in it but a new safety glass windshield is included with the car for the new buyer. The Muffler needs to be installed as it is a little loud. Tires are at 75%. The voltage regulator works some times then other times it runs off of the battery so a new regulator will be included for the new owner to install. The body has some scratches but over all it is in very good condition with the drivers side having some damage that is noticable. The red paint is very shiney and the car presents itself very well. Chrome is average for a car of this year and use. All lights and signals function correctly. I am listing the car for the older shriner owner. He has many BMW Isettas and will be liquidating the collection in the future. If all goes well we will be listing a 600 wagon when the 300 coupe is gone. The sellers reserve is very reasonable for a car in this condition. As always with a used auto it is sold as is with no warranty written or implied. The Isetta has a clean and clear Iowa motor vehicle title and registration and the tags are all current. The owner would like a cashiers check drawn on a U.S. bank, cash, or a wire transfer for the payment. A non - refundable deposit of $500 is due within 2 business days from the end of the auction and the balance of the funds received no later than 7 business days. The car, along with all of the extra parts and title will be releashed to the new owner or the carrier when the funds have cleared the sellers bank. The transportation arrangements and all fees incurred are the resposibility of the buyer although the seller said he would consider delivering the car for a small fee within 250 miles of Des Moines, Iowa. I have sent out many pictures and thought it would just be easier to add them to the description. The car is not a show car just a very nice driver quality Isetta. The body work and paint were done over 35 years ago, and the car has been used, not abused since then. The car runs great and drives down the road fine. You will be getting a fun car to cruise around in. I also have had many questions concerning payment and shipping. I will email the winning bidder at the conclusion of the auction with all of the information needed to close the deal. The owner would like me to handle the transaction as he is not familiar with what is involved. The title will be priority mailed to the new owner after the funds have cleared the sellers bank and then the car can be picked up or shipped.
