Vehicle Detail

I am relisting this car because a Buyer DID NOT READ THE LISTING OR ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE HITTING THE BUY IT NOW! I am selling this car for my adult nephew. It is a two owner 2003 Volkswagen Jetta Turbo Diesel TDI with automatic transmission. It has 102,000 original miles. It has been serviced by the Volkswagen Dealer it's entire life. Kelly Blue Book has this car priced from 8700-9300 Private Party Value. Naturally that's with the repairs done. So better get it for yourself before a dealer buys it and has it priced at $10-12,000. In late 2009, with about 75,000 miles, he slid on some ice and broke the oil pan on engine. His insurance company had the local Volkswagen Dealership replace the engine at a cost of around $6,000 dollars. We have the receipts for this. This is a car that gets up to 45 miles per gallon highway. It has real nice almost new Sumitomo all-season tires. He purchased the car when he lived in Maine and now lives in Oklahoma City, but the car is located at my house in Benbrook, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth. He has a clear Oklahoma title on the car. Be sure and check out the vehicle history report! The bad: 1. The differential failed about 2 weeks ago. According to the dealership, it tore up the starter teeth on the flywheel, which is part of the torque converter, and then it cracked the bellhousing on the transmission. The bellhousing can be rewelded, but you'd need a torque converter and differential. I've enclosed a picture of the dealer invoice stating what they found to be the problem. If you would purchase a used transmission from a salvage yard, the differential and torque converter are usually included in the unit. Look closely at the picture of the torque convertor and you can see the damaged ring gear. Personally, my own opinion is that when they installed the engine , a torque converter bolt wasn't tightened correctly. The car was taken back to the same people that installed the motor, so we'll never know the whole truth on what happened. Did they cover for themselves or not. Just my opinion. 2. There is some slight fender damage on the right side behind the rear door. I have tried to be as honest as I can be about the car. Ask me any questions or request more pictures BEFORE you bid, please. Send me an email address and I can send you copies of the 2 invoices.-One for when the engine was installed and the one for the current damage. We would need a $500 non-refundable deposit through PayPal within 24 hours and the remainder paid with certified funds within 4 days. Could store for up to 30 days at no charge, but would have to be paid in full up front.
