1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Hardtop(Not a Bel Air... and certainly more rare!)This is a very nice example of a desirable Super 88 Holiday 4 door Hardtop. The Caspian Creme and Polar White are a perfect (original) color combination and the paint was done less than 1,000 miles (6 years) ago. The body is excellent overall, the doors close perfectly, the gaps are factory correct and the magnet holds where ever you place it. Look down the sides and you won't see waves, it is straight and... it's really nice!Mechanically, it is very sound and ready for cruising and the shows! The drive from the owners home to Classic Auto was over an hour and it made the drive flawlessly at highway speeds. The engine (324 cubic inch, 4 bbl) holds excellent oil pressure and the automatic transmission shifts as it should. It has power steering, so close in turns and parking are done with ease. Radial whitewall tires have replaced the old bias ply tires for a an excellent ride. The Wonder-bar radio is disconnected as a CD FM stereo was installed in the glove box. A rear seat speaker was a factory option, and it works. All of the factory gauges work properly; fuel, temp, amp and oil pressure.Our 76 year old seller is ready to sell due to health related issues.
