Vehicle Detail
Extremely Rare 1988 Fiero GT T-Top carefully restored and painted in original GM code 53 Talbot yellow. I purchased this car from California a few years ago and did a complete body off and mechanical restoration on it. The original owner commuted between LA and San Diego and the original odometer showed 247k highway miles. I have only put on 490 KM since completing the resto and installing the metric dash. The engine is not even broken in yet. Never driven in winter and the underside looks like a new car and drives like a new car. Unfortunately space requirements force me to sell it to a good home. The reserve is set at a fraction of what I have invested in it. Components replaced include: Mechanical/Drivetrain Professionally rebuilt motor with crane compu-cam and forged pistons. All new engine electronics and sensors Rebuilt transaxle and new clutch New OE shift cables New brakes and rotors New drive axles New exhaust and catalytic convertor including exhaust tips New suspension components and shocks/struts Rebuilt rack and pinion with RD bronze bushing New AC Delco battery New (not reman) A/C compressor New Michelin Pilot tires Body/Interior Professionally painted panel by panel off car in original GM 88 Fiero colour 53 Talbot Yellow (car was originally red) All mouldings and mirrors refinished with correct satin black New OE quarter windows (one of the last sets in existence) New dew wipes New OE tail light lenses New windshield New OE T-Top P-Seals New leather shift knob Replaced steering wheel with mint original Replaced leather seat covers with good originals Recovered headliner and sunvisors OE Pontiac CD installed New T-Top locks installed I replaced everything that I could in the interior with new OEM parts if available or searched out suitable good to mint used parts where I could. The only flaws with the car are minor and as follows: Wheels could be refinished on outside rim. There is minor scuffing on the dash corners below the vents which could be touched up with correct interior plastic paint. There is a small scuff on centre console dot matrix panel near drivers ashtray door. There is a small repair on the leather seat base on passenger side that is practically invisible. The exterior paint is absolutely flawless without a scratch or mark on it anywhere. This car in restored condition is in many ways better than an original due to the higher quality mechanical parts used putting it back together including many upgraded parts. It should be noted that this car is not a CJB car even though it bears the C&C label and conversion serial number. Deposit of $500.00 required immediately upon auction close via PayPal with balance due within 7 days by arranged method. I will work with the Buyer anyway I can to arrange shipping or I might be willing to deliver if suitable arrangements can be made. Thanks for looking.
