1998 FORD EXPEDITION 4x4 This is a no reserve auction, bid to win. This auction will go to the end. This truck runs and drives great. The engine is strong and does not leak any oil. I just had both exhaust manifolds replaced with new for $1100. The exhaust is solid. The tires are good. Power steering works good. Cruise control, power windows and locks are all good. The brake rotors, calipers and pads are all new within the last year and work good. The air conditioning works but needs to be recharged about once a year. I just had the front windshield professionally replaced with a new one. because the old one would leak. I drive this 200 miles up north every other weekend and have complete confidence in the vehicle. Now the bad. The rear end will clunk when one of the rear tires spins. You don't even notice it unless you are getting on it. It has been doing it for about 20,000 miles. I don't know how much longer it will last. I guess it is common in the Fords. The air bag and EBS light is on. The rocker panels are rusting out. The rear tail gate does not open. I have tried to fix it myself but have not been successful. I guess this is also common and SUPOSIVLY can be fixed easily. I have had no luck. The rear glass still opens just fine. One of the rear seat belt clasps is broken. There is a slight vibration between 65 and 75 MPH. The front drivers side has some dents. I have just recently bought a truck and no longer need this vehical. The center consel has been removed and I do not have it. The trailer brake control box not will NOT stay with the vehical. The 5.4 liter engine is a good strong engine and is good for a lot more miles.
