You are looking at a very nicely restored 1957 Ford Ranchero, the very first year of the Rancheros. This car sports a 302 Ford engine under the hood, with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, electronic ignition, C4 automatic transmission and the stock 9-inch Ford rear end. The motor has had all its gaskets replaced and it leaks no oil. You may notice that it has Ranchero script valve covers. It has a B & M floor shifter for the auto trans. I have installed a power steering and a power disc brake kit, so it steers and stops nicely. The radiator was cleaned and checked out. The gas tank was boiled with a new gas tank liner and new gas tank sending unit installed. I rebuilt the steering cylinder, but I see the servo is leaking some fluid. The Ranchero has the stock steering wheel with horn ring. The stock AM radio works and the clock works. New glove box cardboard and bumpers. This car has upgraded electric wipers and electric engine fan. The wiring is in nice condition and has a new alternator. All the gauges work except the speedo which needs a different gear in the transmission. The emergency brake is hooked up with a new cable. The heater works good with new hoses, heater valve, and heater core. The door locks all work good, as do all the lights. The Ranchero has a brand new exhaust system, starting at the stock manifolds with a crossover and Flow Master mufflers and tips. The rear end has a new pinion seal. This nice old car rides on brand new American polished mags and brand new tires 235/75/15 on the rear and 205/75/15 on the front. The rear wheels have been reversed an inch more to the outside. The body was stripped to metal, and all the bodywork was professionally done. The rust in the floor-boards were cut out and re-done with metal. The floor of the bed was completely straightened and looks like new with stainless hardware. The whole body was primered and blocked three times using all PPG urethane products. The Ranchero was painted two tone with bright red and creme white. This car was painted complete inside and out, the motor compartment was painted black with the motor out. After it was painted it was completely color sanded and polished to a show car shine. I did notice a few paint bubbles over the right wheel house, but I know it isn't rust. Every piece of chrome moulding and stainless were also polished. The bumpers, bumper guards and grill were all re-chromed. The Ranchero's hood has been louvered and the antenna is frenched in on the fenders. The Ranchero has new mirrors, door handles, emblems, and tail light lenses. Brand new headliner with new windlacing around the inside. All new upholstery done in a stock style brown and dark brown fabric. New kick panels, new carpet front and rear. New old stock style vinyl Ranchero door panels and matching sun visors. New arm rests and new rock scuff plates. The Ranchero has all new tinted glass, including the windshield. All new rubber mouldings around the windows. The doors were all taken apart, the window regulators and door latches were all repaired, cleaned and lubed. The doors have all new weather-stripping with the stainless window channels. The vent rubber was replaced and plenty of time was spent to make it perfect. Both doors have the alignment installation inside. There have been hundreds of hours spent on restoring this Ranchero. I have been working on it for over three years. The motor and transmission are used, but feel great when rolling down the road. This beautiful example of a Ford Ranchero always manages to turn heads, and looks and feels better in person than the pictures could ever convey.
