Here is a chance to own a fantastic freshly restored 1971 Challenger R/T that has been restored to like new condition. It has been painted to its original bright red color with a white vinyl top and white interior and white R/T stripe and black R/T hood stripe. The car was purchased from the dry Southwest and it retains almost all of its original sheet metal. The hood had to be replaced because of a large dent and I also installed a new trunk floor. Have the fender tag but no build sheet was found. This R/T started life as a 383 motor and automatic transmission. It has since been updated to a rebuilt 1968 440 HP block with closed chambered 915 heads, Crane cam and lifters with Crane Gold roller rocker assembly. Also installed Keith Black Pistons, no expense was spared putting this motor together. The motor has plenty of power but is very easy to start and can sit and idle just fine. It drives down the highway like a dream, no wandering and stops in a straight line, it is actually fun to drive this car. The car has approximately 25 miles since being completely rebuilt. Sitting on top of the motor is a correct 1971 cast iron 440 SIX PACK intake manifold with correct NOS carburetors, springs, and brackets. Also a correct air cleaner and choke assembly. The front end was completely rebuilt and all parts including the K member where powder coated. Both positive and negative battery cables are NOS with the tags still attached to them. The automatic transmission has also been rebuilt. It has a 323 posi rear, 15 inch rally wheels and the radiator was professionally recored . Car came equiped with a rear sway bar. All gages and lights work as they should. Car originally had ac, I have none of the ac parts. I will try to list all the new parts that have been installed on this car but I'm sure I will miss something.
