The 2001 Plymouth PROWLER In my opinion is one of the best looking cars to ever hit the pavement. The design was probably inspired by the Indy style race car with the open cockpit style and the long front cowl and open front wheels. First introduced as a concept car in 1993, the PROWLER was immediately a big hit and drew large crowds everywhere it was seen. The transformation from concept car to production vehicle was completed and the PROWLER was 1st offered for sale as a Chrysler product, and was painted purple. Production numbers were approximately 8000 units. In 2001 and 2002 Plymouth produced the PROWLER with production of about 3000 units. These limited production numbers add to the overall value and amazing desire of this vehicle. PROWLERS are rare and there is no better way to enjoy driving. Just put the key in, let the top down and away you go! The exterior of the car has a small ding in the drivers door and other than that is amazingly clean, some very, very, minor scratches. All of the body panels line up correctly and all doors open and close with ease. The car has spent most of it's life in South Carolina that means no RUST! It has brand new tires on the front and the rear tires are ok but could be replaced in a couple of 1000 miles. The convertible top is in like new condition and I also have the rear windscreen that reduces wind turbulence in the cab to almost nothing. The Interior of the PROWLER has soft leather seats and is in great condition, There is a small rip in the drivers seat that is only about an inch long and not very noticable. The mechanical condition is great, runs and drives as it should, amazing is the word. This PROWLER has a small rattle when 1st started, possibly an exhaust shield. nothing to be concerned about.
