1947 Mercury flathead V8 (rebuilt) 2 door coupe. All original, numbers matching. 58,247 original miles. My family is the second owner of the car since it was new. The Mercury is unique with no modifications. Dark green in color with gray mohair wood interior as installed from the factory. The exterior and interior surfaces retain their original paint, a small section of the trunk has been painted in the past. No major dents, some of the paint has faded. with scratches here and there and some minor surface rust. The undercarriage is in good shape. The interior retains its original componets. All the window glass is in great condition with the exception of the front windshield having two rock chips. The engine is a flathead V8 with 3 spead manual transmission. Engine rebuilt in 2007 by Ramco Machine & Engine, Salt Lake City, Utah. Rebuilt with new engine kit, pistons, rings, rods, main gaskets, bored block, crank, valves and reconditioned rods. New radiator, hoses and brakes. Rebuilt starter, generator, iginition coil, brakes, water pumps. The car runs well and has been driven approximately 600 miles after engine rebuilt in 2007. Has original 6 volt electrical system, heater works, vacuum operated windshield wipers operate. Head lights, park lights, interior light, glove box light all work. The list goes on and on.
