What you have here is a Maxima with a lot of positives and very few negatives. I'm the 2nd owner and bought the car with 90,000 miles on it. According to the AutoCheck, the car was in an accident on 2/2/09, I bought the car 8 months later in October of '09. There wasn't any damage on the car when I bought it and I haven't had any problems in the 70K+ miles that I've put on the car so far. I also have the owner's manuals that came with the car and a digital copy of the Nissan Service Manual in pdf format that I'll give to the buyer on a flash drive. POSITIVES: Recent maintenance performed in the last 6 months: Front & Rear Brakes Front Rotors Front Wheel Bearings (Both sides) Alternator & Power Steering Belt Platinum Spark Plugs Synthetic Transmission Fluid (Redline MT-90) Alignment Other good stuff: - Cold A/C - Synthetic Oil changes every 4-5,000 miles - 6 Speed - Sunroof - Cruise Control - Heated Seats/Steering Wheel (Good for those days when you're waiting for the car to warm up) - Factory 6 Disc Changer - Factory Alarm - Auto Climate Controle - Power windows/locks - 3.5L V6 255hp - Took a 1500 mile round trip to the Alabama coast in March, averaged 26 mpg - Steering wheel controls for the 'CD/Tape/Radio', 'cruise control' and the 'MPG/Miles 'til Empty/Temp/Timer' display located under the RPMs - Interior in perfect condition except for a tear at the seams in the rear seatNegatives: - Everything works inside the car except that the CD player cut out on the left side, common problem for this generation of Maxima. I usually listen to the radio or my MP3 player while using a tape adapter, so the CD issue didn't bother me enough to get it repaired. - Rear passenger ABS sensor bad, hence the reason the ABS light is on. - Check engine light on due to a P0507 code. Code has been off and on since I've owned the car. The only effect the code has is that the car idles between 800-900 rpms instead of 700-800 rpms. Didn't feel like dealing with the dealership over a slightly higher idle. Code doesn't effect how the car drives. - While the driver's side exterior is in good shape, the passenger side has a scratch on the side bumper and mudguard, a small dent below the front passenger side door handle and a dent where the fender and door meet from someone hitting me in Walmart's parking lot the first week I had the car. Pics included - Exhaust leak. Not obnoxious, at least according to my girlfriend. Doesn't make the car sound like a 4 cylinder either.
