Vehicle Detail

Please scroll to the bottom and click the link to see a short video of this sweet charger running!! Up for auction is this beautiful rust free 1970 dodge charger 500. Originally a 318 car, it now has a sweet 440 that runs awesome!. The car fires right up every time and runs great, shifts good has a moderate stall in it. There are not many miles on this motor since it was put in. It is a 1976 motor with .509 cam, headers, aluminum intake and 750 carb. The interior is brand new and was done in black and white. It has 69 charger material on the seats. Headliner is white and new, door panels are white and new, seats are black and new, carpet is black and new, dash pad is nice. Only minor things are needed to finish it up. driver's door panel needs installed, driver's side sill plate, etc. very minor things. ash tray has been put in since pics were taken.. Custom CD player in it that sounds great. Moving outside, the body is in excellent shape. There is no rust and no bubbling on the panels. There were new trunk pans put in and half quarters when restored. Only problem i noticed is that one side quarter was for a 69, one for a 70, so the 2 marker lights are different in back. hard to notice. The frame rails were and still are mint, the floors were good, but a couple small spots were patched in the front. newer dual exhaust that sounds great with the cam. The body is straight and nice. The only issue with this car as you can see in the pics is the paint was done in 2 days. Day 1 was hood roof and trunk and quarters, they look great. Day 2 was fenders and doors.. Well when the paint was mixed on day 2 too much hardener was used and it speckled the paint under the clear and looks a different shade now. It is not embarrassing looking, but definitely noticeable. It would be best to just respray the car and then it will be extremely nice. The grill is in great shape, and is painted black. The wheels are in excellent shape and are centerlines. The tires are like new as well. The headlight doors do work, sometimes they need a little help going up with the electric motor, but do work and close on their own. bumpers are nice driver quality. THis car has had over $25k thrown at it, and when i got it the previous owner that had it for around 15 years was fed up after the paint came out funny. I already have a nice purple 70 and i am in the middle of 3 projects so i decided to turn this one loose. Don't spend $10k on a rusted out project, this one is priced right and will sell!! Look at what chargers bring on here(the few that are listed) and you will see this is a steal. I reserve the right to end this auction early at any time for any reason as it's for sale locally. Please feel free to ask with any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck! Video: http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b50/69charger2002/?action=view¤t=video.mp4
