1988 Mustang LX/GT Convertible I have decided to sell my Mustang. This 1988 Mustang LX I've had for a little less than a year. I can't afford to take care of it the way I'd like too anymore. Right now it runs great. There's no major issues. The way it looks and way it runs are both the best parts of it. Engine and transmission have no problems and have never given me any. IT's a safe car. The foglights, headlights and tailights work. The wipers and brakes and power windows work good. The GT body kit is a cool thing you dont see on a four cylinder. I get looks and waves all the time. Gets low 20'sMPG. I was told with and alignment and a fixed exhaust leak by the engine it would be better. I put new tires, fuel lines, drivers side seat belts, serpentine belt and a steering joint on it since I bought it. . The top needs replacement. The whole thing. I've found a place with a top for $500 complete. The old material is torn, one latch is completely broken the strapped shut. There broken pieces of the frame. The hydraulics are unhooked but work. I've been dropping the top manually with no issues. The weather stripping is falling of the drivers rear glass, some body trim is broken too. It's a nice used stang for the money I'm asking. It's pretty inside and out. It does have rust showing and some underneath. There some dirt inside and cigarette burns. Scratches, dings and dents are obvious too. I only have the ignition key. You open the trunk in the glove box. Cannot lock the car. It has a cracked windshield also. I don't want there to be any surprizes so if you have more questions I'll do my best to answer them quickly and honestly. The car is avaiable for sale and test drives locally.
