1955 Ragtop Oval Window Volkswagen Beetle No Reserve Up for sale with a low reserve is a beautiful example of a 1955 2-Fold Ragtop Oval Window Beetle. This highly desirable car is ready to show, it has pop-out rear windows, bamboo parcel tray and vintage Blaupunkt radio. This meticulously maintained beetle has a rebuilt 1600 dual port motor ($2300). Everything on the car works with the exception of the radio which has not been hooked up. The car has been converted to 12 volt. The ragtop, upholstery, carpet, floor mats and headliner have been recently replaced and new Coker wide-white radial tires were installed within the last 1000 miles. The steering wheel has also been fully restored and the side moldings have been replaced with stainless steel moldings. The beetle also comes with a restored vintage roof rack. Overall the body, wheels (rims), interior and floors are in excellent condition. The rubber has been recently replaced on the windshield (with the chrome molding), engine and trunk compartments. The car maintains much of it original personality. Both the body and pan have matching numbers and are correct for 1955. As far as the ragtop, not 100% sure if it was grafted in, or was original to the car. I do not have the birth certificate to validate. The rockers and heater channels are solid. The bumpers are in excellent condition. The car was just tuned up, new brakes; brake lines and wheel cylinder were just installed. The valves were adjusted and the oil changed in preparation for its new owner.
