The car has been in the family since new, ran up last year when the engine started to knock so i parked it. had a friend that works on cars look at it and he thinks in his opinion that a connecting rod bearing is letting go. At that point i decided i wanted a larger car and just parked it until now. Instead of the wasting away to nothing i figured to sell it now as a car that someone can repair or choose to use it for parts. 159,885 miles, tilt wheel, 5 speed stick,goodyear eagle tires,tape/stereo player,rear window defroster, intermiten wipers. AVS vent visors on all windows. presently the car easily starts up and runs just not reliable enough to drive. new battery two years ago. clutch and timing belt changed at 98,000 miles, new radiator last year. The interior isn't mint, normal stains, tears,etc. The pass side inside door handle is broken. the paint is faded on the roof and hood, the pass door shows signs of damage, the rear bumper has scratches and paint off in places, rear left tail lite has been damaged. RI state inspected til june 2012 You can drive it home its your choice, i would have it flat bedded. you can start it up but cant take it down the road for a test ride as its not registered.i will drive it to show it shifts perfectly and operates but the engines not 100% to drive normal. When this car was highway driven it would easily get on average 40 miles per gallon when driven below 70 mph. Im 73 years old and This is my car now and this was my daughters car since new and ive kept it for a good back up car. now i dont wana repair it. In RI after 10 years the registry doesnt issue titles, so you will get a bill of sale and an old registration. that is a legal transaction in rhode island. with this info you can apply for a title. im not going to do this becuz its $25.00 and its not needed More questions, answers; NO air conditioning becuz never had it, NO cruise control, normally/regually serviced. oil/filter canged every 2000 miles. i wouldnt drive it home, only making a statement that if "you" baby it, it will drive. i wouldnt take the chance but its "your" choice and NOT mine. This is a relist becuz ( paula540 ) the person that won the bid allmost a month ago thought it was ok to "make" payments without prior permission. well after allmost a month still not paid in full. now becuz it went on too long it cost me about $120 plus. for fees to sell this two times. clever con artist becuz now its been too long for me to give them an honest bad feedback to warn others. so if you cant pay for this car within (7) seven days please dont bid. if you want it shipped,its simple once payment clears i will then send papers and you can arrange pick/up. If you wana pay the balance via pay pal then i ask that "you " pay all the fees.
