Here is a beautifully restored 1960 4-Door Fin-Back 6-Cyl manual transmission Mercedes-Benz for your consideration. This vintage classic was purchased at a church auction in 1998, then was meticulously restored over a decade. This is a smoke-free vehicle coming from a private estate located in Southern California. 1. Additional Equipment and accessories: Fitted and wired with antenna and interior bracket for Sirius radio (receiver not included). Aftermarket seatbelts, stereo and CD player, front and rear mounted stereo speakers. 4-speed manual transmission on the steering wheel. Exterior color is a two-tone shiny bright silver/dark silver grey. The original Mercedes Benz owners manual will be included with the vehicle. 2. Maintenance History: This classic vehicle was restored over the last decade at a cost of more than $36,000. Copies of all receipts are available for inspection and will be included with the car. The restoration included a new steering wheel, new windshield, new door seals and weather stripping, new upholstery, woodwork, carpet, interior roof liner, new tail lights (rare), chrome, clutch plate, shocks, brakes, radiator, and much more. During the remodel, various non-original items have been installed, such as hoses, ignition, and seatbelts. 3. Condition of the Vehicle: This item has been beautifully restored as shown in photos, however as a vintage item there are a few non-working or imperfect items as follows: The clock does not work. Small ½ tear, difficult to notice in right passenger seat upholstery. The wood trim around the doors and windshield and dash has been restored, however 1” chip in upper right corner wood around windshield, and ½” hole is dashboard from prior instrument. The carburetor is fully functional, but it is our understanding that parts for it are no longer made, and if it or parts of it ever needs to be replaced a substitute carburetor would be required. Fuel level indicator on dash board works but seems to vacillate. The lock on the trunk needs a new key. Right passenger door locks from inside, but not outside. The hood release sometimes sticks. Insulation on a couple of engine lines are showing wear (see engine photo). 4. Warranty Details: This 52 year old classic runs great, but is being sold “AS-IS.” Original mileage is unknown as the odometer only shows 5-digit and has turned over, and is not fully functional. However it has been driven only a few hundred miles by the current owner since purchased at auction in 1998. 5. Delivery: Buyer is responsible for pick up of vehicle after secure payment has cleared.
